Welcome to the Exegesis Wiki[]

This wiki is for the creation of a crowd-sourced database of ancient and medieval scriptural exegesis, from the three Abrahamic Religions - Judaism, Christianity and Islam. It is intended to serve as a one-stop shop for researchers and scholars of the three traditions.

Describe your topic[]

Through this wiki and a lot of hard work, we hope to create an online database of exegetical texts on scripture (Hebrew Bible and New Testament) from antiquity and the Middle Ages. Every scholar of biblical exegesis, or anyone with interest in the field, can both contribute and gain immensely from this site.

Ideally, each verse will have a page which will contain all relevant citations and texts, in their original language and in translation, as well as secondary literature on the topic/verse. Each page can be categorized with many categories, thus creating a convenient subject index. It can also be cross-referenced to other verses/texts. Links to online texts are welcome.

English Biblical translations are from JPS 1917 edition.
